Kevin was in a high end hotel in Mid town. Sorry the average stick up kid would not have even made it to front door before the blues take him in. Hell even the fukking Sticky Bandits had to catch him in the dead of night in the central park shanties.

Yoo I rewatched these the other night and one of Marvs lines in the first movie had me dyingggg. At the end when kevin escapes out the attic Harry goes "where'd he go?" And Marvs dumbass replies in a dead serious tone "maybe he commited suicide" the kids like 8 years old . just one of those random throwaway lines I didn't appreciate as a kid but being a stoned adult I laughed for a good 5 minutes

According to the official novelization of the film – written by Todd Strasser as a quick promotional tie-in – Mr. Peter McCallister is a prominent businessman (maybe a day trader?) and Mrs. Kate McCallister is a fashion designer, thus all the mannequins that Kevin was able to use in the party scene.

One Reddit theory goes that Mr. McCallister could likely be in the mob or something along those lines. It makes sense after a few beers. Another theory has Uncle Frank (Look what you did you little jerk!") actually hiring the Wet Bandits to rob the McCallister home.
