He did pick Poole in the draft so he does have the eye for untapped talent…
Let's see how it plays out. This is an extremely pivotal moment in the franchise, this offseason will define the next decade. Hopefully, he's as good as advertised, but it's hard for someone who has been with the org for so long to make tough decisions when they need to be done.
Just so we are clear: the warriors division (not the conference, the division) has GSW, LAL, LAC, PHX, and SAC. ALL of these teams made the playoffs. The warriors finished fourth in the division
The suns traded for beal for basically nothing
the lakers turned their entire season around for basically nothing
the Clippers are going to be back again
Sacramento is trying to get anunoby to shore up their wing defense, and they almost beat the Warriors. Steph had to have a historic performance in R1 of a playoff series to win it
and thats not even mentioning Denver, who swept the Warriors in the regular season series.
if GSW tries to run it back with this piss-poor team....
They literally have all their first round picks from here on out except for the 2024 pick. They have 2 2nds that i know of from trading wiseman and getting GP2 back, Poole makes ~28 million this season, and have about 20 million in salary from the daycare center they created from drafting all these kids.

i dont even think they should've gone for Beal specifically, but to have the assets they have and continue to mismanage them is alarmingly bad. they've blown 4 of the last 5 offseasons
