Kerr doesn't develop young players. He just throws them out there and if they make any mistakes they get bushed.
Head coaches don't develop players. That's what development coaches and skill coaches are for. Organizations have entire systems that develop these players. Head coaches don't have time to do all that shyt, especially not in this current day with all the emphasis on the smallest of details.

Never mind the fact that teams that are actually competing for a title don't play young players like that, anyway. It's patently ridiculous for anyone to expect this Warriors squad to bring along all of Wiseman, Kuminga and Moody. It's the reason why they landed themselves in this position in the first place. They should've acquired players who can contribute to a title defense, and not bring along young guys in hopes they could contribute at some point.

You think Bron would fukk around with players that need to be developed when he's trying to win?

Agreed. Myers legit could have waited until this season was over. See if Poole could replicate what he just did. Instead, jumped the gun and gave him what has to be the worst contract in the nba. We could’ve matched any offer other teams gave so it doesn’t make sense.

….but I’m thinking of this, assuming Bob is a GM that uses his head.
It’s far from the worst contract in the NBA (CP0, Ben Simmons, Draymond once he signs a new deal just to name a few).

He had no choice after the stain left by Draymond’s sucker punch and lack of punishment thereafter, along with Klay’s injury history.

Are you willing to pay Draymond $25+ million that he’s looking for @Gil Scott-Heroin @Don Homer ? Put your money where your mouth is

I think it was a mistake by Kerr to not give Kuminga any run in this series. He couldn't be any worse than the rest of the supporting cast and is capable of hitting some shots as well as adding some athleticism to the lineup.
You're focusing on the wrong thing if you think Kuminga was changing anything.

Playing Kuminga wouldn't have stopped Klay and Poole from shytting the bed, who the Warriors both needed to perform up to standard to win. Even Wiggins, who only had one game where he was aggressive. You can't have three of your main options not show up and expect to win a series. They were pushed to the limit in the 1st round and it took an all-time performance from Steph to get them through.

The only thing Kuminga would've been good for is burning up some fouls on Bron, giving them a baseline threat and some versatility, but they still ultimately would've ended up in the same position they find themselves now in.

He can’t coach. He was fortunate to have two generational talents and a generational shooter. His “system” was based on guys consistently making 28 foot 3s and contested jumpers, and dumb teams trying to keep up with those offensive outputs (which they couldn’t).

He has never been able to develop young players or use big men correctly because he has no idea how to adjust to anything in real time. That’s the main reason he just subs young guys out after mistakes. He needs an entire video coordination team and a day of prep to figure out what’s going on.

Compare that to Ty Lue who competes with anyone on the floor, and you see how inept Kerr has been. Ty Lue missed both of his star players throughout the year for multiple seasons and kept them in the playoffs. Steph Curry got hurt and the Warriors ended up with damn near the worst record in the league.

It’s the worst contract. CP0 and Ben don’t have 4 years left on their contracts. At least CP0 and Ben at least made All NBA and All Star teams. Poole just scores points at below league average efficiency. You don’t pay players like that large sums of money.

I just wonder how Klay approaches the offseason after saying he was scared to train last year. He really needs to grind this offseason to try and return to his old self. I think that stretch in February sapped his legs.
