Dynasty ends, like the Celtics and Lakers of the 80's they got to the playoffs but they wasn't the same first and second round exits

I have felt there was some "bad karma" the team has to resolve. Before during and after The Punch.
The Basketball Gods are real. We don't know if true repentance has occurred, but I hope so.
As much as I despise JP's game, he shouldn't have to endure a humiliation ritual to get his NBA bag.
The funk in the air has been obvious most of the season. Ring-winning time masks the smell. But we'll see what's what after the season is over.
Best case scenario, Dray and JP work things out 100% and JP improves his defense, shot selection, and turnovers.
And we ride this thing until it dies of old age.
I'm not so quick to badmouth Lacob.Lacob is a tremendous bytch. He was prolly looking to punt on the core during a championship title defense, but had to be convinced to let go of that fukking bust James Wiseman. nikka was useless for THREE seasons in a row, but Steph/Klay/Dray were at risk of getting broken up on one season
Sure his meddling wasn't appreciated. Gotta leave the executing to the executives.
But the team owner has one primary job, CUT THE CHECKS.
And Lacob does that better than anyone.
So many other owners in sports don't even care about winning, just milking their fanbase.
I blame the unfair CBA that punishes owners for drafting, developing, and keeping their star players.
The next CBA is even worse for winning-minded owners.
This will be the last time you see 3 homegrown talents stay with a team for 10+ years, while winning awards and chips.

issue is as just as u said. he's meddling, doing more than what his job is. He's doing other guys jobs, and hiring unqualified family members. that kinda thing can sink a franchise.
the 400 million that Lacob talks about isnt much larger than what the clippers spend, or what the Nets were spending. the clippers spend more per player. Lacob just talks about his money more. Lacob also just isnt spending smart (i cant stress that enough). He had the money to spend on GP2 and he didnt and let him walk, only to trade back for him and waste more assets AND money. He spent 80 million dollars on Kelly Oubre's dumb ass, and let him leave for nothing. He also didnt use all of the hardship money they got from Klay's achilles injury. So that's a TPE, DPE, and MLE he decided not to use, which is pathetic when you consider the Warriors are worth 7Billion and Chase Center is used annually for entertainment like concerts and comedy shows.
Lacob hasnt earned my respect. He just got in at a good time. Larry Riley, Don Nelson and Jerry West are why we have Steph and Klay. And when Steph and Andre are talking about the ownership taking advantage of them on a podcast, it's really hard to respect what Lacob and his grossly unqualified sons are doing. "Spending" is just a shield to redirect criticism. "How can u blame lacob when he spends so much?" When you constantly wanna overstep your lane and draft nonsense that DIRECTLY affects the chances of the franchise face from competing, thats where we have a problem
I don't have any emotional feelings either way about Lacob. If he's meddling, we agree, that's a problem. If you don't respect him, that's your right. I don't know him enough to respect or not respect him.
But I just don't see him as the problem. Even with a little nepotism. Maybe it's because I've seen so many worse sports owners.
I'd probably hire my underqualified son, and groom him to be my successor too if I had a multi-billion dollar enterprise.
The Warriors payroll is #2 in the league this year, and back to #1 next year. I didn't get that idea from Lacob talking, that's the fact. I know he does his propaganda interviews with Kawakami. That's his right to influence narratives, and I don't gleam anything from it.
I'm not going to knock a businessman for making business decisions. No one hits all home runs. It's easy to monday morning quarterback anyone about anything.
You blame him for all the mistakes you listed, but I doesn't the GM and/or president makes most of those decisions. Or are you saying he overrides people like Myers, who he pays to make those decisions?
And who gets the credit for all the successes? We are the most successful NBA team over the past decade, both on the court and in the bank accounts.

You said "ownership taking advantage of them" so I had expected something different. This is why I always like to hear it from the source.
They're basically just reiterating what we all know, that the two timelines was bullshyt and winning a chip ain't easily replicatable.
I can see how that can be considered "taking advantage of them", but it's also a leap. Maybe there's clues in Lacobs other behaviors that give that impression. He does seem to be an arrogant SOB, but what billionaire ain't?
