I'm starting to wonder if Draymond punching Poole has something to do with JP's game falling off a cliff :wow:

Keep in mind I'm not making excuses for Poole, but it doesn't make sense for him to have declined this much in such a short period of time.

What do y'all brehs think?

Probably a factor. But fights in practice happen all the time, can see it impacting chemistry but not individual performance to this extent

I think a part of it is Poole started feeling himself and didn't put in the work after getting paid. You look how much he improved every year before this, that's the sign of someone busting their ass and living in the gym. Hard for me to believe he regressed to this extent if he was putting in work to the same degree

I'm not buying he didn't put in work, dude had a trainer with him overseas during the summer, then had another trainer talking about his growth during the offseason. Dude in his own head right now and it's obvious the way he was missing layups and free throws Friday night. 2nd year Poole after the GLeague bubble looks more trustworthy on the court than the mess we're seeing right now.

That’s why I believe it was a huge mistake for GS to extend him so early and should’ve waited until the off season

I'm not saying he sat around and did nothing. And agree he in his head right now. But it's human nature to let your guard down when you feel like you made it

The lack of focus been there all year. Sloppier with the ball. Worse shot selection. Mental lapses at the worst times

Last year he played right up to the line between aggressive and reckless but more times than not stayed on the right side. Dude was able to lock in when it counted time and again from when Steph was out through most of the playoffs

The level of focus been lacking all season. Right now he trying too hard but to me that's a product of playing sloppy all year, not everyone can just turn it on the playoffs especially young players

Welp brehs I just saw who the ref crew is today… Foster is on the billing :francis:

Now let me add Sac and GS are 1-3 on the season with foster as the lead ref so take that for what you will
They won game 7 in 2018 against the rockets with Foster reffing. They just gotta come out and play hard. They know what’s at stakeZ it’s time to ball out…or lose. Those r the options :manny:

yeah apparently he was arguing with an asst. coach over a foul it seems. I'm guessing, but it was prolly that foul where he asked the ref "where's the foul?", and it was an obvious foul. The camera panned over to Kerr and his staff and they were like :martin:

he gotta tighten up. he's never played a G7 before, so idk what to expect. But his play and mentality this series has been unacceptable

The punch happened because jp reached out to draymond to set up a meeting with klutch. Draymond set it up and had the klutch team fly out. Jp no showed and didn’t tell anyone that he was sticking or going with caa. Made draymond look bad and also he lost out on a finders fee.

With JP it's always "where's the foul". It's frustrating.. even some plays where it looks like he can finish.. he blows it trying to get a call

I don't think they would have extended him if they weren't in this repeater tax situation. It's a matter of keeping a young talented player and overpaying.. or bringing in a minimum Vet.

he's become annoying to watch. it's all about style and trying to get highlights so we can talk about "baddies on the court" and all that shyt
