Having GP2 and Dante out there at the same time was vicious. I would love to see a lineup with them two, Wiggins, Draymond and Looney where they just go full blown pressure for a few minutes to try and rattle the other team. They'd struggle to score unless Wiggins is back to his old self and more aggressive but defensively they'd wreck havoc. Them two had OKC shook as hell for a stretch last night.
Yeah I knew I was forgetting somebody. Replace JK with Looney and just think how much athleticism, quickness, length and just doggedness would be on the floor at once on D. That's one of them lineups that a coach can throw out there just to change the flow and pace of the game to throw off the rhythm of an opponent that has it going offensively.Like having 2 pits circling the yard.
I liked when JK, Moody, and Dray (I think) were out there together. Looked like a flock of 7 ft wingspan terodactyls out there.
We have all the pieces to clamp up anyone. Now we just need Steve Kerr to get his head out his ass and make the right lineups at the right time.
Wiseman 23/7 in 27 minutes. Damn shame Warriors had so much size and couldn't find minutes for him.
The irony lol
i agree. ppl looking for any excuse, but we are just too loaded at the guard position. Steph/Klay/Poole/DDVLamb and Moody typically don't guard the same position so I never really understood the argument that Lamb was getting in the way of Moody's minutes
You're right. But in the era of positionless basketball, this is less of a factor. They're essentially the same size. Lamb's an inch taller, Moody has longer wingspan. Both play strong and physical. Both rebound. Both can hit the 3.Lamb and Moody typically don't guard the same position so I never really understood the argument that Lamb was getting in the way of Moody's minutes
Was he "good" last year? Also, moody just hasnt been good this year
Lamb has way more bulk and has been asked to defend 4s, Moody isn't doing that. You're right. But in the era of positionless basketball, this is less of a factor. They're essentially the same size. I don't dislike Lamb on the team. I just see Moody's upside as infinitely higher than his. Super growth stock. We'll only tap into that potential by playing him more. Lamb is more of a fixed commodity.
Numbers wise he seems to be the same. But the goal was for the young guys to improve and become rotation pieces. ofc wiseman failed and moody fell out of the rotation because he wasn't playing as well. People dont wanna believe it, but it's not some conspiracy that moody wasn't getting play time. He was gunning to start the season and he isnt laterally quick enough on defense. He was inserted into that SF position and it wasnt great. I think that's holding him back. He's gotta be able to stay in front of people, and when he's on the court he's usually getting blown byWas he "good" last year?
He's basically the same player putting up the same numbers as last year.
The word of the day is "development". You need time on the floor to improve.
I ain't gon cry over spilled milk, but Moody should have played more this year. Period.
But I respect that he stays ready when his name is called. That's a veteran trait.
this, too. Lamb is noticeably larger than Moody. Lamb is playing the stretch 4 role. Moody has trouble staying in front of SG's and SF's. Moody got minutes bc klay was out, same as always. People have been mad because Kerr is playing Lamb over PBJ, not moody.Lamb has way more bulk and has been asked to defend 4s, Moody isn't doing that.
Moody stay ready tho.. and he played excellent.. He’s standing to see his strengths and his weaknesses.. Strength being he’s using his length, getting this second chance offensive rebsthis, too. lamb is much thicker but he wont play at all with wiggins back, kuminga is taking all his mins nowYou're right. But in the era of positionless basketball, this is less of a factor. I think people have been waiting on moody to have a good game, as if that negates how mediocre he's been this season
