Wigs back.

:steviej:

But let's not pretend that the Dubs haven't been a .500 team all year, regardless of who's playing.

With Steph, without Steph. With Steph and Wigs. Without Steph and Wigs. GP2, no GP2. With [Redacted], and without.

Same mid team who regularly blows close games like a cheap hooker.

:hhh:

The only hope we really have is that they flip the proverbial championship switch in the playoffs, and play every game with full intensity and intensity.

We've seen it a few games this year. Not many. But enough to "believe", for the faithful.

But that bytch supposed to be flipped already. Seems like there's a short circuit.

thats actually not true. their record with [redacted] 9-12, and with him, it is 32-26. this would b the 3rd season in a row we have proof that the warriors are far more competitive w/o [Redacted]. to answer @Ohene 's question a few pages ago, we have statistical data and proof for 3 straight seasons that the warriors are noticeably better when [redacted] doesn't touch the court. You can point to klay, poole, and wiggins, but they actually contributed.

the same way the 2021 warriors played as well as a 4 seed w/o him and ended up a play-in team because Looney didnt start that year in favor of [redacted], they are much better this season without, as well.

We already agreed as a group that they arent contenders this year. But they are more competitive w/o him, which is what you want when you have an aging Steph/Klay/Draymond core. For all the issues that were listed with this team, they are playing as well as the 5 seed if you remove that 10 game experiment where [Redacted] was getting 20+ mins. Again those 10 games sunk us.He was the 4th highest paid guy on the team and easily the most expendable when you consider the salary and how bad he was as a rookie.

No one wants to acknowledge the opportunity cost of keeping him and playing him as much as we did. They avoid that argument and make the strawman that the warriors are supposed to be contenders now that he's gone

So if you agree that:
1. The warriors should have traded him after the deadline and used his 9million dollar salary+the 3 picks in the 2022 draft to bolster the bench. (it hurts even more when you consider the Lakers turned their entire season around by trading Russ, 1 FRP, and 3 Second rounders get Vando, Beasley, Dlo, and Hachimura)
2. Not doing that, and drafting more useless rookies (including giving a guaranteed 3 year deal to a guy with a jones fracture),
3. letting GP2 walk (a guy who was closing in the NBA finals) to keep [Redacted]
4. the warriors are actually playing MUCH better (statistically and record-wise) now that he's gone

i dont see what the disagreement is about

I get your focus is on Wiseman. I don't disagree.

My focus is on can we "flip the switch" or not.

If not, everything else is moot.

Fair enough. When the 4th highest paid player on your team is tanking your lineups that guy gets the focus. That’s a lot of money not getting used toward getting a better bench/vets :manny:

I'm curious to see who Kerr picks for his 9-man rotation. I heard Wiggs been 'working out', but rarely do you see athletes come back in sync, after missing a couple games (let alone a whole month). Do y'all trust him over GP/Kuminga? A huge chunk of your fanbase wants him back on the floor immediately.

I hope he pick Lamb :mjlit:

These last 3 games of the season are WAY too meaningful.

I need Sac and Utah to ball out tonight, and the Dubs to handle business AT HOME.

It'll be a great vibes boost to see Wigs smiling and high diving the fellas. Hope he's on the sidelines. Heard he's in good spirits.
