Only way he stays is if dubs end up trading Poole next season where then he can sign an extension
You sure? We won't have Dontes early bird rights until next year. I'm no cap expert, but I don't think they can offer Donte more than around 7 per regardless if they trade Poole, Dray, or whomever.

Donte gone, GP2 just gonna slide right back into his role next year, gotta hope that the damage to his abdominal isn't permanent and the training staff gets him right
their skills are completely different tho. DDV passes more and shoots a lot better than GP2. But GP2 cuts and rim runs and defends much better than DDV. They can't completely replace one another. i wish we could have both

I didn't compare their skills, DDV was brought in to replace GP2's spot in the rotation tho, and with GP2 back and under contract that role will be his again next season. DDV gonna get a contract for $10M+ annually, he's gone

We’ll have them hopefully for this stretch run.

Exactly he only stays if he really wants too.. Mans is eating lovely in our system tho..
but does he love it enough to take another pay cut. thats the question :francis:

When he got hurt in Milwaukee, they traded him, so he didnt get paid. So he only got the MLE from us. He'd have to be willing to take ANOTHER cut. Pat Connaughton really got the bag he was supposed to get.

That would be him picking up his option but after that dubs can give him a nice extension

IF they trade Poole. that's what it comes down to. Assuming Lacob is sticking to that 400 million dollar spending limit (and it looks like he is, cuz he's been cutting costs all season).

In the offseason, a team is gonna offer him a bag. We gotta match that. I can see DDV easily getting 5 years/100 million at least
