Yes, he's a genuine movie star. GotG was the "what the fukk is Marvel doing?" movie for the longest, now people suddenly wanna act like Marvel hype made that flick. If that was the case we wouldn't be looking at a 50 million opening for Ant-Man. Pratt (& co) carried that shyt. JW outdoes all expectations but mahfukkas claiming like it was just the franchise made it happen. A movie doesn't open to 200+ million without someone carrying that shyt.

I never said Jurassic World wasn't going to do numbers regardless, but nobody expected or predicted the numbers it ended up doing. That huge difference gotta come from somewhere and to me it's dead obvious it's Pratt, who people such as yourself and ever-doubter @FlyRy and numerous people all over the web continue to underestimate as the bonafide star that he's become. But let me bring this down to a simpler level:

So let me ask: "Do you think Iron Man did well because it was "starred" by Robert Downey Jr or because it was a Marvel product?"

We all know how vital RDJ was to the success of that movie, and we all know that RDJ was far from Hollywood's golden boy at the time Hollywood happened, and we all know how this pushed RDJ into full-fledged stardom. So if RDJ can singlehandedly reach that status of the strength of a single role, why the fukk wouldn't Pratt be able too? The truth is he already has, because he is a goddamn genuine movie star and you'd have to be in denial to not realize it yet.
