North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Randy Gregory left mini camp today due to heat exhaustion

The SAME thing happened to Dez during his first rookie mini camp. You fail to realize the gap in between the last time they actually played organized football. This is a non issue. They will be working out between now and training camp.

I never said it would be an ongoing problem, I was just posting what I saw on the NFL channel

:dahell:

They need to come off that nonsense. If anything, put Claiborne back there and see if he contribute something (re: anything) to the team.

Or that track star WR we picked up UDFA.

They need to be worrying about that contract :rudy:

If I remember correctly that's when Michael Irvin was going hard for Dez saying that he would rather have 22 players out there giving it their all until they throw up. I'm pretty sure it is, Michael Irvin always coming through with the :wow: speeches/motivation
They thinkin about putting Dez back on PR duty :patrice:

Before Collins we just made George Farmer the highest paid UDFA every to take on that responsibility. Or maybe we're gonna use his 4.35 speed on offense :leon: But there's no way in hell Dez is back there returning kicks.

Heres what Broaddus had to say about Byron on day 1 of practice:

  • I have to admit that I was interested to see how Byron Jones was going to practice physically today. I had an idea, studying his college tape, how he would move, but to see him on the field with my own eyes gave me a much better idea of how he carried himself. From the word “Go” Jones was locked into these practices -- especially the afternoon session, where he carried these receivers all over the field. It didn’t matter if it was George Farmer, Nick Harwell or Antwan Goodley, Jones was up to the task. He played the majority of his snaps in press coverage and off the snap was difficult to get away from. His technique was spot on and trust me, Jerome Henderson was right there with him every step of the way to make sure it was.
What was most impressive about Jones’ day was how tight he can play while the receiver runs his routes. There was little or no window for these quarterbacks to throw into while he was on the field. Nice start to his weekend.

Man I feel good things coming from this kid. People think he was just some 3rd rd pick who did really well in the combine and got lucky to get drafted in the first. He's smart has heck and seems really driven.

When Dez finds out how well he was doing in rookie mini campus he'll be sure to have him guard him for 1-1s and humble dude right quick. Then be sure to teach

I was annoyed at first with the Byron Jones pick. Didn't know how he would fare against real competition and thought dline was a bigger need.

Now that we got Gregory in the 2nd, I'm waaaaaaay more comfortable with the pick. In fact, I think it was the best move at the time since we got Gregory. We won't be able to get a CB the caliber or potential of Jones next year drafting 32nd overall. We can easily find a DT to clog the middle tho.

A questionable pick turned into a great pick for me because of how we followed up. Dez schooling him in Oxnard should whip him into shape real quick. Excited to see what he can do.
