Best believe Jerruh will trade up to get him if we dont land AP. He understands our 3-4 yr window....Gurley will be unreachable.

then we pick the boul from miami, duke johnson later onTrade up to what though. If it's higher than above pick 22, that's stupid IMO. We don't have many picks in this draft to do much. Honestly, I think both Gordon and Gurley are gone before pick 20.
This is a deep RB class. GMs should have the same mentality as us fans in that you can get a good back in the later rounds. Tevin Coleman is said to be the best all around back in this draft and is projected to go in the 2nd round. Only team I can see going with Gurley in the top 20 is SD. Even with that said, 49ers took our 16th pick in 2013 and gave us their 1st (30) and 3rd. Your telling me with our current depth chart at Rb, that wouldnt be worth it? Stephen already said we wont be trading our picks for a VET rb, so who does that leave us with? By the time we are up in the 2nd, Coleman, Ajayi, and Yeldon might already be gone...Trade up to what though. If it's higher than above pick 22, that's stupid IMO. I agree with everything you're saying here about how deep this class is. I would rather stay at 27 and draft a back in the 2nd round. Maybe trade that first round pick, get another pick in the 2nd. But right now, as it stands, we still have pressing needs. We still perhaps need another LB, another DT, a CB (Sorry, I'm not confident going with that group next season), and a RB. I just don't see how it's worth it moving to 18 and getting Gurley. What are we going to give up doing that? This is a deep RB class. I agree we have other holes (DT is by far the biggest need for this team). But I look at it like this:I agree with everything you're saying here about how deep this class is. BTW, I was never on the bandwagon on trading any pick to get AD.
