What makes everybody in here think Gurley is there at 27?

He was the consensus top player in the country before he got hurt.

Sure, teams no longer spend high picks on RBs, but guys that beast in college and are special like Gurley never fall to 27. The last couple of years there haven't been any elite RB prospects, but teams will definitely be interested in Gurley by the middle of the 1st round.

I'd be surprised if he's still available at 27. And if we have to trade up to get him, fukk that noise.

If he's not there then that's fine because there are at least 5 other good backs in the draft. Gurley or Gordon will be there at #27 although i'd rather a stud lineman fall to the Boys.

I think we get our hands on Gurley no matter what. Jerry will move up a couple picks if he has to.

Don't forget about Buck Allen from USC....he will definitely be there when it's Dallas's turn to pick....I think he would be a great addition.....but of course I'm bias to former Trojans....

Most think he will drop because:

1. RB isnt as high a commodity as it was 5-10 years ago. There wasnt even a RB drafted in the 1st round the last two seasons. (Granted none as talented as Gurley)
2. Hes coming of an ACL injury and probably will strt off the year on PUP. Most teams ahead of us will want an immediate starter from week 1. Only team im worried about taking him ahead of us is San Diego at 17. They lost their starting RB.
3. The recent draft busts at the RB position such as Strugglecuts will have teams weary of takin a RB early.

The plan for us needs to be draft BPA. Gurley should be BPA at 27. Hes the best Rb to come out of college since AP. He will beast behind this line. Now if he is taken before us, I say get the highest rated LB.

If we really want to make this return to the 90's cypher complete we need to draft a Cane..I'm cool with Perryman in the first if Gurley is gone or Duke later

There aren't many teams in front of us that will choose a RB and many think Gordon will go before Gurley. If we don't get him, fine. I honestly can easily see a trade here as well. I can see us trading down for more picks. If a DE, LB, or one of these two backs aren't there at 27, don't be surprised if a trade happens and I myself wouldn't mind that at all. The back I want outside of either Gurley or Gordon is Tevin Coleman. Although they like Boise State players too.

Felix will always remind me of 2 things.
1. He looks exactly like Dave Chappelle
2. We chose him over Chris Johnson

In all respects.. but Chris Johnson wouldnt have done shyt behind our old lines.. we JUST figured out why the run works since our glory days with Emmit
