Ambrose goes down with an injury. He's gone for 2-6 months. What do you do? Something creative.
Roman is in the ring and says he has a surprise for the fans, Ambrose just came out of surgery, Renee and Seth were able to be at the hospital to greet him.
We see Ambrose. he's loopy and sedated, rambling. We've seen videos of people just out of surgery. He flirts with Renee a bit. The nurse says it's perfectly normal
for people to be out of it after surgery.
Then he looks at Seth and what he says to Seth plants the seed for a heel turn. Seth picks up on it, we all pick up on it. It's awkward.
That tension is broken up by Dean saying hi to the WWE Universe and that's the last we see of Ambrose, until he returns.
Was it the drugs or did we get a glimpse into the real Ambrose?
Easter Egg : The nametag on the nurse says 'Abigail'.

On his podcast, Austin called Dean out on being complacent and Dean kind of was taken aback but yeah... he never really took it to heart imo

Dean realized he wasn't going to get pushed past Roman, but was still valuable enough for them to pay him obscene amounts of money. So he stopped trying cause it didn't matter.
