Blueprint 2 and Street's Disciple are the same caliber of double album.

Volume 1 has dope tracks like Where I'm From but the album as a whole falls flat.

Volume 2 is a classic to me thats why I didnt put that pic up.

Volume 3 is weak. BP2 is weak as shyt which is why they re-released it as 2.1 and it was still weak. The nikka tried to call a mulligan in the rap game

No one said that you said anything about him selling out. Do you know how to read? I was making that statement about part of Nas' allure is that he's not overly mainstream. No Nas fan would argue that. Being appreciated more after your death and being the "voice of your generation" are two different things. Classes were taught about Pac's music at schools. So what? Schools that were trying to reach a certain audience obviously. Pac's death is part of what immortalized him and I said that already.

What in the world leads you to believe that Nasir Jones will be regarded as the voice of my generation 20 years from now? Based on what? Oh you mean urban or black America? The same urban and black America that idolizes Jay-Z more than Nas these days? The Jay-Z whose 99 problems lyrics are in the Wall Street Journal right now being used as a means to break down the 4th amendment? Stop running away from the fact that you used a ridiculous phrase and you don't know how to defend it.

I don't know who the "voice of my generation" is because it's too fragmented and it's not unified. But it's pretty hard to call someone the voice of a generation when he's not that prominent in an era where information is that accessible. It's pretty hard to call a guy the voice of my generation (because you said this generation and that would be me and other millenials) when the biggest event of most of our lives thus far (outside of 9/11) when Obama being elected and Nas' track got no play. I played it of course and it had more depth than Jeezy's song.

But Nas was on Jeezy's song and no one quoted a damn thing he said. Yet, Jay-Z gets on the remix and what he says gets tons more play. You would think the voice of the generation would have more a presence than that. Nas is an all time great artist, but being an all time great does not equate to being the most influential.

If you said "greatest talent" then I would not have even responded. But it's that type of hyperbole than annoys me when I'm around Nas fans for too long. Shut up and let me bump my Stillmatic.

I thought I saw you put up Volume 2 instead of 3, that's why I was like

I like Volume 1, but that's me. I never understand the hate for it on here. Volume 3 had some good raps and like 3 good tracks and horrible production, I'm not arguing that.

I did not defend Kingdom Come at all or Blueprint 3. Did you not notice that omission in my post? Blueprint 3 is an average album. It's not great, it's not terrible. It's not quite "good." It's like a 7-ish. BTW, I like that Haters song It's hilarious.

But Hov's biggest problem is his connection to Kanye. He dumbs down to Kanye's level too often. Like Watch the Throne, he carried the entire lyrical load on his back outside of about 2 or 3 songs.

But is this DR even worth listening to? I saw Marley and I cried inside.

I'm not mad in the least. In fact, there's not an OUNCE of anger in my post. It reads as disbelief. "Who's to say he's not, you?" That was you being mad.
