Basically. Nas is the GOAT. It's almost indisputable now. It is what it is. Some may not like it but deep down ya'll know the truth.

I honestly was apart of the "deep down inside group"

I began to notice this in 2006 after KC dropped. From there it just became clearer as the years went on. The nail in the coffin was WTT. That album is dope but those nikkas took the concept from Nas.

Nas my nikka :my man: All those years I argued against you...... "Your Da Man"

I was a member of that "deep down inside group" for years also, bro. I can no longer say Biggie is the GOAT. My conscience won't allow me to. Going by output, skills, impact and consistency you HAVE to say Nas is the GOAT. He blessed us with what most consider the greatest hip hop album ever before he became 20 years old. He hit a wall and was in a malaise in his late 20's...then Jay woke him up. Woke up the sleeping giant and Nasir hasn't stopped since. I personally think he cemented his GOAT status on the Untitled album. There's not an MC you can mention now that I would even put in his class.

when you look at Nas/Jay-z/whoever's resume you can absolutely claim they are the GOATS because their resumes back that up, n!gs been beastin for over 15 years and got 10 plus albums. to me Nas is the greatest to ever do it but its not indisputable, its all about preference and opinion.

I always respected his skills. He always had the skill-set to be the best. I think he is the best lyricist in Hip Hop ever (always felt that way). However, it was the inconsistencies after "Jay" lit a fire under his ass that made me question his goat status. How do you from dropping Stillmatic to HHID or, from a God's Son to a two disc album that would have been fine as one disc minus the filler

It wasn't so much his material that did it. It was his influence on the people I had in front of him. It became clear of the years that they were biting him. Its so long you can get away with being unoriginal. I get chills thinking about it because Nas alludes to it on several songs through out his career.

"sooner or later we'll all see who the prophet is" :ahh:

"nikkas bit of Nas shyt, admit you bit it" :ahh:

BIG took from Nas, Pac took from Nas, Jay-Z took from Nas... Not just a sample I mean concepts, ideas, creative angles TAKEN from this nikka

He's the goat

And yo, has this nikka found the fountain of youth? Nasir looks and sounds like he's 15 years younger than he actually is. On the low, that's another reason cats tend to hate on the God.

I don't know if Nas is the GOAT but he's easily the most consistent artist of all time. He's never dropped an album that wasn't above average and he's managed to stay consistent over two decades. I think when he started he probably exceeded his own expectations! The guys a legend.

Me Against The World, All Eyez On Me & The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory > Nas's whole discography.

The fact that Pac felt threatened by Nas during that time period spoke allot about his perspective on the best was from the east and his own personal insecurities about himself as an MC.

Think about what I just said....

Debating who has the better albums is subjective. We could go all day. I know Pac to the concept from one of his illest songs from Nasir. The Outlawz admitted this in 2002

nikkas, will never, ever, never admit it but alot of hate Nas gets is because he's a good looking dude, with unbelievable skills, respect and accomplishments that almost gives off this aura that he's a G-O-D. It's easier for people to hate on a dude like that. It's part of the reason Jay was so envious and shytted on him. And it's why cats, like Cam, gets so bytchmade when it comes to Nasir as opposed to other cats. Dudes can have jokes and clown me all they want but it's the truth.

I prefer Nas over Pac, but I do hear Pac's name brought up more than anyone's when it comes to the GOAT discussion.

I'm not sure whether its due to his death or if people are still feeling that nikka's music that much still.

Him, Nas, and Jay all have a strong argument for the title and you can't really go wrong with any of em.
