For the most part, but I don't think the gap is that huge, the movies did really well at capturing the books. Just something different about reading that allows your imagination to make it a really cool experience. JK is a really good writer.
I don't know anything about Harry Potter. Never read the books or watched more than 10 minutes of all the movies combined. This game does look like something I'll give a shot though.

The goblins themselves are said to be based on anti-Semitic tropes. I guess the money hoarding thing. I'm not saying I agree, just clarifying for anyone asking where the criticism derives from.

Didn’t really have a problem with her opinion on trans women.
But did a little reading about her and this game and they are some full on nasty Maga cacs, and got all types of racist/classist tropes in the game and the overarching story.
