What’s the backstory behind that game? I know they released a demo that was hilariously glitchy, but that could have easily been patched right? It seemed like a panic move on EA’s part cancelling it.

I'm convinced 2k is purposely trying to lose the license now. It doesn't even look like a bad ps4 game, it looks like a bad ps3 game, and early in the generation bad. Maybe they're putting out a game so bad it forces WWE's hands into skipping next year and giving 2k time to rebuild this game from the ground up. How games from last generation look better than this

the shyt came out in the store on release day.
allegedly it had no issue. They just lost faith and abandoned it for some reason. When live x was easily the best video bball ever made still to this day. So elite getting canceled made no sense.

Damn. Seems like they should have just released it and patched it up after which is the norm these days with broken video games. I wonder if EA’s reputation as a terrible company played a part in it as well. It seems like they just can’t get the Live franchise right anymore and people aren’t giving them the chance to do it.
I do also wonder how they are continually able to do yearly releases if it’s only one team working on the game rather than different development studios for each release? It seems like that’s the cause of a lot of their problems.
