The media's favorite "Trump critic" isn't ruling out challenging orange boy in 2020:
Sen. Jeff Flake dangles possibility of running against Trump
I get that the GOP base are full of imbeciles who don't mind cutting off the nose to spite the face, but who from the center to the center-left would even consider voting for this trash? He aligns with orange boy 90.6% of the time, this is where he falls ideologically, and note the Koch's AFP gives him a rating of 98%.
What exactly is he going to run on? He's tone police.

a pro life, anit single payer anti sanctuary democrat, shyt would make joe manchin go
Here's the thing though. In the south the abortion and Sanctuary city debates have already been had and settled. So a Dem being pro-life (but accepts the law and passes the buck to the SC), doesn't support sanctuary cities (there's no one really asking for it), can easily say they support a medicaid/medicare/VA type healthcare for everyone because a large number of southerners are familiar with and have used those services would be pretty palatable and is likely going to vote with Dems on the major issues and appointees.
Because there is more to voting than just abortion, mexicans, and federal healthcare. And the differences between liberals and conservatives in those areas are also very clear. Why vote for a dem at all then? And the championing "VA healthcare for all" isn't really seen drastically different; repubs have successful framed the VA as ineffective gov't waste for a while. I can see the plausibility if you're referring to these positions on a state representative level but imitating a conservative only works until they decide they'll just take a conservative anyway.

Would you prefer people who agree with you on everything except for a single issue to give up all of those similarities because you disagree over Roe v Wade?
The presence of these Latino men at the largest white nationalist event in recent memory underscores the complicated racial position of Latinos in the United States. Latino white supremacy, it turns out, might not be a contradiction in terms.
Increasingly, Latinos are identifying racially as white. In fact, more than half did so in the 2010 U.S. Census. A March 2016 report from Pew Research Center found that 39% of Afro-Latinos also identified “as white alone or white in combination with another race.” With a current population of around 58 million, Latinos make up the second-largest ethnic group in the U.S., just behind whites.
Who's trying to convert conservatives? Southern liberals in general tend to be more conservative than their coastal counterparts. Their politicians should reflect that.Tell that to the conservatives whose votes you're trying to court; those issues, especially aren't isolated from a greater political identity in this ideological climate (at the federal level at the very least), and those who aren't, are going to be continually forced into that ideological box as soon as the crazies come out.
