1. The issue is 'What is meant by information?' It's a question of definitions (Information (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy)) and not beyond scientific metrics.
2. I did state that I got this idea from a book advocating Intelligent Design. Just a different way of looking at the same thing since the prevailing paradigm (matter/energy constrains information) doesn't work. They proposed a different paradigm, that information constrains matter/energy.
