In my opinion, removing the factors preventing them from unionizing > federal min wage increases.

They aren't mutually exclusive. Having both benefits more. A lot of MW workers are young, seasonal, non full time working for small business and retail and won't benefit from a labor union.

wouldn't have to work multiple jobs if the minimum wage was higher

wouldn't be so hard to stay afloat if you didn't have exorbitant health care costs coming directly out of pocket, or if you could afford insurance
