LOL@Tyson Kidd getting himself over with 5 min appaerances a week

On the flipside, every top talent they had laid down for Orton and Cena to make sure they got SOME KIND of reaction

I don't see how they could go any higher with those guys; they all enjoyed upper midcard success in WCW. Benoit even won the world title.

WCW main event talent depth at the time was just unfukkwithable. Hogan, Sting, Flair, Savage, Hall, Nash, Giant, etc. etc. and that's just 96-97.

All those guys you listed got plenty of TV time in WCW; if anything they were utilized perfectly. And it's not like any of them main evented right out of the gate when they jumped ship. They had to pay their dues in WWE as well. On top of that, every single one of those guys were far better than virtually all of the midcarders today.

Benoit was almost unstoppable in 2000 when he debuted..only lost to Rock and Cripple H when it mattered. They had him punking Taker a few times..especially at Unforgiven.

He's just not a very good promo

Daniel Bryan had short promos like these on NXT and got over with the crowd no problem

Several guys did

Some guys are just short on charisma

L o fukking L @ 0:13

*crickets*
*cocks head at the crowd as if to react to their reaction*

They had the Hart theme and Hart gear, Jericho dapped them and DX gave them a good match. Looking back, I think Bret coming back stalled their momentum.

It's not like Bret Hart is totally talking out of his ass though. There needs to be more wrestling minds like Heyman on the creative team to balance out the writers who are just using the E as a stepping stone to something else.

Word, i remember reading a report a couple years ago that said Freddy Prinze Jr. was on the creative team :deadrose: WTF does he know about wrestling :what:

a writing team that included Bret an Paul Heyman would be :ohlawd:

it wasn't just to see what Broadus would do with the gimmick, they tried to punish him just cause he blabbed ahead of time, about the him/John Morrison storyline on twitter, and they changed it.

The WWE's creative team sucks for the most part. A lot of these guys are stuck in bad gimmicks and are hardly ever on TV. With that extra hour on Monday's u would think they would have more midcard guys on there more often. But they basically just fill that time with previous highlights and commercials. And that new Saturday morning show should have at least two matches on there weekly of new talent.

To me, Tyson Kidd has always seemed like a guy who could really benefit from being part of a heel stable which included a couple other guys with charisma who can do good mic work, along with a big enforcer-type. Give him the role of ring technician and slowly let him develop the mic skills without pressure. Pairing him with David Hart Smith seemed good on paper but neither one of them connected with the crowd so it ultimately failed. I like Natalya but she wasn't enough to save that mess.

He's still worth investing in but he needs that kind of support right now.
