From One Sided Ring podcast via pwtorch.com:

Hart said he believes WWE "has spent too much time in the last couple of years making television stars rather than wrestlers." Hart picked out Tyson Kidd and Brodus Clay as examples of talent being underutilized and wasted, respectively.

"They have some great wrestlers, and Tyson Kidd is as schooled as they get. Technically and mentally - as far as wrestling psychology, moves, timing - Tyson Kidd is maybe one of the best in the world," Hart said. “There are a lot of wrestlers in that company that have not been used properly. Brodus Clay is a guy that when I first saw how he moved and how skilled he was as a big 300-pounder, and now I see him with the girls and he’s just a cartoon character. Whoever thought of that should be taken out the back and shot."

Brodus "looks" like a tough guy, not saying he has to be an angry heel, but the dude looks like he could fukk someone up, shyt i'm sure he has actually a few times given his old job before wrestling. I understand trying to "humble" someone by giving them a silly gimmick to see what they do with it but damn. .. at least it's reason to keep Naomi in tight pants for the time being I suppose

The gimmick is over with kids. He can always "snap" and turn into "real" Brodus Clay if it's not over anymore. Bret takes this business WAYYY too seriously.

Unfortunately 90% of the bullshyt they show is over with the kids in some way.

Well that because it's VERY serious to him. He's cut from a cloth of the type that doesn't exist anymore and probably never will, he was literally birthed into the wrestling business and it has consumed pretty much his entire life. Wrestling has always meant a whole lot more than just "sports entertainment" to Bret and his whole family.

When is Bret gonna be offered a creative position in WWE as a writer? :noah:

he someone who i think would do what's right for business and not have any personal agendas.

Touting Tyson Kidd as this great bastion of untapped potential doesn't exactly scream "unbiased" to me.

If he said Daniel Bryan should be perpetually in the main event picture, I might get on board

Just because Brodus's schtick is over doesn't mean they can't invest in him for the long term by giving him room to develop.

Hence why bret called him a cartoon character, b/c he's flat. A gimmick can be one-note but you still gotta give the guy something to DO with it.

Aw fukk, I'm deep in green rep. Somebody neg me to bolivian, please

Yea, he might have went over board with the "probably the best in the world shyt" :russ: but that would be expected because he is family, but he's right...Tyson Kidd has tons of potential and can actually work in the ring, but he's been overlooked pretty much the whole time he's been in WWE.
