Hit em up....overrated or great diss track?

In my mind it's a great diss track did the emotion at the time it was released, it was funny as fukk at thr time.

But now when I listen back I hate the fact he had his mates on the track for no reason talking shyt and ruininf the track.

Basically, some funny/great lines, but not nothing great in hindsight.

Great cos of what it represented historically, but average music wise.

Impact-wise it's probably the greatest diss track of all-time.

Lyrically, not so much but I think he got his point across. I'd still call it a classic and the fact that he made a video to it and put it on the b-side of how do you want it is even more

BUT...

Always felt that the Outlawz brought NOTHING to this song. If Pac replaced all of their parts with verses of his own, I don't feel like anything would've been missed, and much would have been added.

But soon as that nikka gets to talkin', it cemented it as a classic. That shyt's still funny to listen to. Sounded like this nikka prob walked out the booth still huffin' and puffin', and had to calm down and drink water 'nshyt.

Yep... and who was the one nikka who always sounded like he was rushin' thru his verse and just tryin' to get it all out before the hook came back Sounded like he was speed-readin' 'nshyt I still love the song, but they take me right out of it for the seconds they get on it.

pac just went into the studio and spazzed out and he needed his homies to get him hyped.. i'm kewl with it.. and btw, now that you mention it, i wonder what ether would be like if jungle was doing ad libs in between verses...
