Cardi B is hip-hop. It's not too much of a difference between her content and female rappers that came before her, in fact she is influenced by the Trinas, Foxys, and Lil Kims. Cardi is from the mecca, she from the block, she got a real rags to riches story (the essence of hip-hop), she got songs for the streets and for the clubs, she got personality, she got charisma, she got attitude, and those that work with her in the studio all vouch for her work ethic.
So how is Cardi B not hip-hop?
