I actually agree. But not only that but the indignous population prior to the Spanish were diverse. Remember there was no Mexican border prior to Spanish. There are over 500 ethnic groups in Nigeria, but prior to colonization they had nothing to do with each other since there was no Nigeria. This is what happened with Mexico. The Aztec Empire did not even stretch to Northern Mexico. And it was not only in the area of Mexico.

So yeah Mexican is only a nationality, like Nigerian is only a nationality.

Nah, the problem is that you are overstating Mexico's diversity. One can make any number of Wikipedia pages about one or another population in a country; that does not presume a large number or a substantial portion of the population. We can talk about "Chinese-Argentinians" even if there is no real such population to talk about. And so it goes. Studies say Mexicans are Mestizo, which is what people have been saying and what Mestizos look like/are. There's little to no Asian detected in normal Mexicans.

Is there a Mexican who has Asian ancestry? Sure but that's also true of cacs in America.
