You know what these magazine publications should do? Reprint issues in a hardcover limited quantity just like comic books are doing. Why? The demand is extremely high for particular moments or icons in hip hop history where events or a narrative was captured in print before the web or blogs.
They would sell out pretty quick,I believe. Especially if The Source or XXL went hard cover. Way too many hip hop fans who missed out on reading these magazines because they didn't have access to them due to age or location.
You could do 12 issues equals one volume. I just tossed a marketing idea to any aspiring entrepreneur. The only trick is to get the publication on board with your idea. But Limited you might have a chance. Go look at how the comic books do it, especially with Spiderman,Batman etc
