I hungry bear will be more quite and try to sneak up on you. you might even think he is just curious about you until he rips your arm off.

A territorial bear will try to show its strength make noses and grunts and shyt.

A quiet bear is a dangerous one, unless you just muted your tv. Which should be the only reason you see a bear or else

Only play dead if you want to end up dead. That only works on a mother grizzly who is trying to protect her cubs, but any hungry bear will just enjoy the free meal.

It's best to fight it off if it attacks, they are like dogs and will chase something if it runs, also thats how they prefer to kill you from the back because its quick and less of a hassle. If you make it work for it's meal, most likely you will live unless we are talking grizzly bears then you're dead
