I Admit that I was. I was quite nervous. I get that way when I'm being recorded. I even called Eastern Europe a "country". That was a laughable gaff which i'm surprised nobody exploited.

I didn't know who I was even talking to most of the time. Zero Zero was easy to distinguish, but everyone else melded into a murky sea of East Coast urbanite voices.

After listening to it last night, apologies are in order from my behalf. I was jumping in, especially when the moderator was talking, and it came off more aggressive than it had any right to be.

We need to expand the topics more. A lot of the topics presented are things you can hear everywhere else, which is fine, but we need to throw some abstract things in there.

Philosophical discussions. Scientific discussion. A little less politics, and a little more about political philosophy and styles of governance.

That's probably who you are in real life....a Shook One and that explains your trolling internet persona.

Politics and economics will probably always be the meat and potatoes of the show. We could use some science and religion discussions. Also, I'm still holding out for a discussion of hip-hop in a social and cultural context.

Also, we need to get more organized about scheduling these things ahead of time. As soon as one podcast is done, we need to start scheduling a time and date for the next one. Then we can start slating topics. Last week, we didn't settle on Sunday at 2 pm until like 1 or 2 days before. The panel participants, callers, and listeners are on different schedules and different time zones, so we need to plan as early as possible. After we get a time and date set, we can propose and lay out a tentative topic outline.

So that being said, what about next Sunday evening? Say maybe 9 pm est?

i agree 1000%. most of our topics now are based on current events, which is fine. but we need a little more balance and i'd like to get more into philosophy and maybe a few more controversial topics... and then maybe also some "fringe" topics if we're feeling bold.

i also think we need to figure out an effective way to get more people involved, because this thing is only going to get bigger. maybe we designate like 15-20 mins of each podcast for call-ins and during that time the main panelists kind of take a back seat as the other posters get to chime in with their opinions

also we may as well start planning this weeks show... are we moving it back to sunday night?

i agree with everything stated. i even think we should lead off with the hip hop piece next time... it'll show some diversity on a culturally important topic.

and we have also got to start discussing more economics because that information can really help people, especially considering our current situation and the fact we're in the middle of an economic crisis and a lot of folks dont know what to make of it.

and this sunday 9pm EST is perfect
