Personally I would like to focus on a handful of hot news topics today and move forward from there. I will generally focus on hot news topics of the day and move on from there.

This weekend, I would like to focus on:

Syria/Russia/US issues and where this could go
Eric Holder contempt charges
The gay rights debate
Mitt vs Romney election 2012 (Brief focus on recent polling data, campaign progress and current controversy's during campaign beef)
Bonus topic - Adam Corolla recent stated women aren't funny. Agree or disagree

Im hoping for 1-1.5 hour podcast. Possibly shorter if debate is dry.

I like my topics better too.

Nah for real though HHL4E stepped up to record the podcast, so I guess it's only right for him to be the moderator/host of it. He's going to have final say on the topics, it's whatever.

Dude said he can only do it for a few episodes. Anyone else know about podcasting? HHL4E is it a pretty easy thing to learn? You just need a certain software program? Maybe you can PM the participants the details so someone else can start hosting it when you're unable to in the future.

My proposals:

-General political discussion...the 2012 presidential race, how Congress and Obama are doing, the hot-button political legislative debates of the day, etc.

-Economics and economic justice, income inequality, the big banks, the tax code and monetary system.

-General discussion about the state of hip-hop.

That's it for now. Very broad and general. This is the first podcast. There will be plenty time for more nuanced discussion of a variety of matters later. Thoughts?

HH4LE, I think that this is probably a better game plan. We're going to have to throw that Adam plan in the bushes, but I like your general ideas. But for a first time, I think this is where we should go. But as always, I believe that the week's stories should be reflected in the podcast. That's why I also liked your original post that referenced, Rodney King, etc. Especially because that could segway into the kid the cops killed this week.

I have no problem pushing it back to 9:30 est or so if that works better for you. Depends on what the others think.
