Finally listened to the whole thing. It was a good start. I think it's a solid base from which you can add all kinds of things. HHL4E was good about keeping everyone in the mix, and playing the news clip was a great idea. IMO, there should be more of that. You could introduce each current events section with some relevant clips. Some background music would be cool, but not essential. I think other things will just become smoother and organically efficient with time.

It was funny to hear Leyet go into rant mode and start cursing all over the place. I was also surprised to hear 88m3's real voice, and talking in complete sentences, too, since his posts are usually pretty short and minimal.

LoL@ the boy Leyet being popular with hip hop listeners. No surprise. Hip hop fans have always been skewed towards distrusting everything.

I didn't expect that passionate performance from leyet either. What is it with you NY nikkas? Always all amped up lmao. The Real is probably the same way.

Leyet you clearly got a talent with words and a presence on the mic. On the topic of gay rights you articulated yourself a lot better than I could. And you made some other good points as well. But in my opinion, you derailed the convo a bit when you went on your rant about the federal reserve. Initially you brought up monetary policy, but I think then you kinda started to all over the place and went into a spiel about general problems you see with the economy. You mentioned trade agreements like NAFTA, loss of the manufacturing base, products being made in China, who comprises the fed, income inequality, and many more things in one rant. All of those things are very pertinent topics that deserve discussion, and they are inter-related but we can't tackle them all at once. The soapbox is alluring, but we all have be able to respond to and address specific assertions others are making.

Not trying to diss at all...trying to be constructive. Hopefully we can do this in the near future and by then I'll have a better mic situation...peace.

One thing I'll say, there were too many general statements and not enough reference to specific facts. That's regarding the healthcare debate though.

But are you the real Daze? If so welcome aboard, but what took you so long?

real deal

being stubborn is what took me so long. the whole 'letter from the founders' thing pretty much killed it for me. I understand why they didn't put that info out there earlier, because when I read that it just made me realize it just wasn't the same site from years ago. I was absent for many years on SOHH, so when I came back and saw it was no longer at sohh.com/forums I didn't think much of it. but after that letter and some research it became clear things were very different

I've been trolling over here, but I'm not very good at it. so I just decided to take the L and sign up
