I take a slight bit offense to Leyet saying our political convos are "shallow" when he doesn't even understand what we're talking about most of the time.
Leyet on the joint where it was me you, Looney, Zero, and Brokewave, you didn't say a word and left the call, then got on the board and ranted about how we're talking about bullshyt.
We were talking about the Ryan plan and its policy implications: whether or not these policies of privatizing Medicare, slashing the safety net, eliminating the capital gains tax, eliminating the estate tax, promising ends to loopholes that are not specified, what it would do to the deficit, etc. and if some of these policies would possibly be implemented by either party and what it would mean the people and the economy.
How is that bullshyt? That is meat and potatoes policy discussion, not shallow talk about who scored the political point of the day like how you see on the mainstream media. I think our political discussions are superior to what you usually see in the media because we spend more time talking about the nitty gritty of policy, and less about the popularity contest aspects of it. You can't say it's shallow and bullshyt just because you didn't do your homework and know what we were talking about.
i got dropped from the call
