He'll probably go to Harvard for the legacy, a lot of people do. Maybe he'll put money into HBCUs, who knows?

This is a great stride for young black men and black people as a whole, this is black excellence, now if we just focus on stuff like this instead of the negative and band together we'd be crushing buildings. :wow:

The greatest chance and most typical......... situation and outcome would be,

his story becoming marginalized as a freak show cuz he's young.... him possibly not being around too many black kids, getting caught up at Harvard. White people accept our brains and minds with open arms,,, just not our skin and culture. I have a cuz who was accepted to V tech at like 14.. genius, just bought a 400k house in dc.. at 21... w a white bish, has a conservative blog that would make u think he was a cac by the way he talks on it. embarrassing ass nikka.

I was a part on an early admission program to any big ten university.... only 1 girl. ONE! out of the group is still 'down'. She (and i) r the only ones who even think about black shyt black issue black people black community. And when she told me her bf was a nikka w dreads i was shocked.

Point is, all I've seen my whole life is resources like Jaylen being sucked from us. Mentality is key.... 1 person doing good w no affect on our community focusing their money and effort for the betterment of the real US citizens isn't gonna help us.

Same here, I agree with your entire post. I had the same experience I went to a so-called "good school" with like 20 black kids and mind you I'm from the projects so you can imagine how hard it was for me to have to live with nothing but white girls. But yeah we were treated like good (excuse my language) "******s" and anomalies.

I think the problem is we're all trying to make it and people see getting a good opportunity as working for big company and getting paid well. That's just not me, I'd rather work around my own people and help us grow and be able to see our fruits of labor. We need to go back to our communities and help our people, do some outreach, otherwise we'll be stuck in this position of waiting for White America to extend a hand out to us. :russ:

Yoour last few posts have been suspect. This Jaylen kid doesnt owe you or any of us shyt. He needs to do whats best for him. Hes going to Harvard to get the best connections he can get.. why would a student this talented go to a broke ass hbcu with few students at his talent level?

How does his doing well for himself not affect his community? All of us read his story and got a warm feeling of pride. Thats all we can ask, its not like the media didnt acknowledge him.

This story carries the same moral as every other american success story.

Black kids need to study harder.

He's referring to the brain drain in the black community. The Talented Tenth were supposed to reach back but instead most run to the white community. It's not as bad as he's making it out to be but, it's an issue.
