Why don't they set up a rule saying no one can get better than a 85%??

This whole culture of hyper sensitivity and everybody wins is the reason the kids don't know how to deal and cope with losses and setbacks.

So now when someone achieves more than them. Instead of saying shyt I gotta work hard and catch up. They cry bullying and ask for someone to make the other guy do less good.

Why can't you just take your kid out for ice cream and say 'well we got a good beating tonite, it hurts and it sucks and its no fun, remember how bad it feels, and have the determination to work hard and practice so we don't to feel like this again".

To flesh out my earlier point, the whole idea that we're some sort of a "p*ssy" nation is absurd, given how exceedingly hard it is to make it in this country. We have millions of casualties in the homeless and working poor that we as a society largely dont give a fukk about. Among industrialized nations, we lead the way, by far, in violent crime, incarceration rates, and death by handguns, etc.... how is that being p*ssy? That was the original point I was responding to.

As far as youth sports, 95% of these kids are not going to play anything beyond the high school level, so what exactly are you trying to prove by beating their brains out? Respect, honor, health, and sportsmanship should be just as big of a priority as competition...ESPECIALLY at that level. The problem is a$$holes like you who want to compensate for your failings at life, so you want to turn recreational sports into the goddamn killing fields of ho chi minh.

If you're concerned about kids being "tough", dont worry --- they'll soon be working 70 hr. work weeks w/ little pay soon enough, and become the typical fat miserable American adult. Let them enjoy their goddamn childhood while they have a chance.
