Dumb all the way around and the fact that police don’t do anything about it and the entertainment business makes it look cool and fashionable, it’ll keep happening.
A big part of it is the glamorization of the struggle but in reality ain’t nothing about that shyt should be glamorized. In today’s climate especially, a lot of high-performing professionals look at you like food when they know you didn’t grow up with a lot of resources and the pedigree they had. It’s better to keep it to yourself than brag openly about it. People really need to stop aspiring to be hood, especially with a ticket out of there.

Me and my ex went to see a fight in Philly at Temple university. It’s was Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk after leaving I guess some dude said he would beat my ass because I was walking with a decent looking girl. I didn’t hear him but the girl I’m with did but didn’t say anything until we got back to the car. I thought damn had she said something I’d probably have been seriously hurt because I was still in my wild days but yeah just walking down the street with decent work almost got me jumped. And the trash on the streets is no joke we were shocked by that every time we drove up there but it was a decent time. Philly cheesesteaks are overrated too.

The reason why Philly Drill is so ass, is because it really doesn't fit the persona of what Philly is all about. Philly brehs spaz, snap, and put passion into the raps. Thus why heads look at Beans, Freeway, Black Thought, and even old school Will Smith as the mecca of the hip hop scene in the 215.
These youngins got the cocks of Chicago Drill rappers all up in the tonsils, they end up trying to use a shytty drill drum and bass line over demonic horror movie samples, and trying to catch up to the beat. Its not natural at all.
