I knew when MGS4 didn't do the MGS2 numbers of the PS3, I knew that the PS3 would have trouble being the #1 console of this gen, especially when the killer app done only half the numbers expected.

My thread about 4K was just starting a discussion on how big the damn files are projected to be. I didn't spin anything. I just posted the article and said that it would be supported by PS4.

Let me answer it for you:

He's talking about the social aspects of the console. A feature of a console =/= the entire console which you chose to put in parenthesis and highlight.

Now if you're too stupid to be able to differentiate between the two then...

He is talking about the console but he talking about the natural evolution going from PS3 to PS4. There is nothing damning about these comments.

I took it as he's commenting on what Edge told him about the social integration of the console. He's just elaborating that while extra features like that are great and all that he's more interested in how developers develop games on it.

I know he's not shytting on PS4 at all, but the way this thread was made implies that he is, which is pathetic.

I keep beating the multi device issue because a lot has changed since these consoles launched. Just because I don't use all of these services doesn't mean that I should turn a blind eye to what others are doing.

Honestly, if Sony puts a fully functioning web browser in the PS4 they wouldn't have to deal with all the "exclusive" console apps that MS has over them.

I knew that from the jump the PS3 wasn't going to be #1 . I got the last two Playstations at launch... I didn't buy a PS3 until roughly three years into it's life-cycle. High price + lack of killer apps at launch put me (and a lot of people) off. I originally wanted a 360 because it was WAAAY cheaper... but my father advised me to get a PS3 due to the HD optical format war going on (he sided with blu-ray), so I listened to him. I got the 80 GB MGS4 bundle when it dropped, had to sell it for personal reasons then bought the first slim revision two years later.

Anyhow... yea, Sony sure as hell didn't dominate this gen, but I believe they could've been a lot worse had they not booted Ken Kutaragi and replaced him with Kaz.

Bruh... Sony AND Microsoft going to be battling for scraps in this smartphone and tablet world.

Let's not forget, Microsoft hasn't been hitting all of it's recent products out the park either (Phone 8, Win 8, Surface RT/Pro).... so they're not immune to fukkin this launch up either.

I would say the social/OS software aspect of gaming is even more important then the hardware was in 2005. just look at your friendlist majority of your friends are doing something other then gaming 80% of the time. It looks to me sony still hasn't learned their lesson and will be left behind in that aspect.
