Split up the file with HJ-split then upload it to a host. People who receive the piff will have to use Hj-split to put it back together to view.

He can make it smaller than that, compress it all the way down to 500MB or smaller if possible. Its just a doc not a blockbuster movie with special effects.

Ya idk handbrake does its thing automatically I've never messed with the settings, with default settings I know the file will come out to be half of what it originally was

Best thing he could do if he wanted to compress it a bit more would be to winrar it, should make it a bit smaller not by much

He can reduce the dimensions if it's still too large, make it the standard youtube video size of 360p or possibly 240p resolution for easy download.
