Some women didn't have a choice. My father's side of the family is Southern and young women were often given to older men as brides. Especially if a family had a lot of daughters.

They obviously can't give her wisdom on using condoms. And I wonder if there are 5 generations of fathers in her life considering they were probably all 14 or 15 when they got pregnant so I doubt it.
