This is the first time I hear people questioning the MJPLS Lakers championships. And for some reason these people are all fans of a certain franchise that has won as many titles as the Cavs or Mavs since the end of the Reagan administration.

I always did want the Lakers to truly retire the Minny jerseys and put up the Minny banners in full. As it is the Minny banners and players are all consolidated into one banner. I think it’s just a matter of space and logistics (since Mikan wouldnt be the only number retired) but I’d love it if the Lakers flexed and did that. If it were up to me the Lakers would wear the Minny throwbacks yearly on the 47th game to commemorate the year the team was established.
