I know it's cool for people to say GSP is scared of Silva, but this video makes his biggest concern very clear: Weight. He doesn't want to sacrifice his speed and strength by going up and down in weight. I think GSP won't budge on Anderson having to come down to 170, or a catchweight close to that, for the fight to happen. Hopefully Silva can manage that...

Doesn't he fight close to 200lbs come fight time?

first 3 rounds of the gsp-condit fight were very good. after gsp figuered out he can take condit down at will and condit's wrestling ability was that of a jr high kid it was open for gsp to do his lay and pray. as you can see gsp looks worse than condit but he controlled the ground

lol at GSP.

This dude really is scared to death of Silva. I'm convinced he'll avoid that fight for the rest of his career.

Pierre just trained for 19 months harder than any fighter does. Try restoring your strength to a professional level after an ACL tear to comeback and fight arguably the best fighter in your division while you were out :snoop:

The layoff doesn't matter. The only time GSP ever entertained the thought of fighting Silva was after the UFC 112 fiasco and after the first Sonnen fight.

Ever since the Belfort fight he's gradually changed his opinion on fighting Silva. He made excuses about needing to talk to his sponsors first :noah:, and how he doesn't want to move up in weight even though, IIRC, it's always been rumored as a catchweight fight.

I mean, Dana and Anderson are on board, it's all on GSP now. I hope Dana is able to convince him, but from what I've seen over the last year, I really doubt the fight will ever happen.
