Hogan wasn't even in WCW when Booker signed :gucci:

Dude is a clear tap dancer trying not to fukk up his money, more respectable ways to go about considering all the racism he openly discussed in his book that he faced growing up & in the business.

I think he means that Hogan vouched and recommended him as a single star to get a push while he was in WCW, which he has talked about for years (which Hulk probably would have only advocated so he could go over him later on:mjlol:)

But yeah I think he means that.

Like I said before, when the shyt first happened and Hulk got fired Booker and Mark Henry probably had the best reaction from everyone saying he was disappointed and that was up to Hulk to figure out where he fukked up basically... and he did say on JBL he offered Hogan to go on a tour and talk face to face with black kids as a way to learn from this and to rehab his image and he turned it down. He wasn't afraid to put that out there in an interview on WWE network which is a much more ringing criticism of Hulk without saying as much so I dont know if he's tap dancing that much

That said, this is certainly a big change of tune from a year and just a few months back, especially when Hulk has not done the things Booker himself expected him to in order to do right by him

everyone deserves a 2nd chance....problem is, I don't see any need for Hogan in wrestling anymore.

What's he gonna do, be a Mick Foley type of role?

After all the scandals of people saying stupid racial shyt in the past, there's no doubt that he'll be back. But if we're being realistic, there's absolutely no reason for him to ever return. He can't wrestle anymore, he's already in the HOF, and the cheap sympathy pops are a waste of time. We all know he'll eventually be back though.

Theres no upside for WWE at all to deal with the backlash. 15 years ago, Hogan would have gone on vaca then brought right back because he could still wrestle.

I understand the "everyone deserves a 2nd chance" argument, but some sh*t is just too damaging to come back from. If they bring Hogan's racist ass back, I'm definitely cancelling my WWE network subscription.

The problem with the idea of Hogan getting a second chance at this point, is the fact that he's trying to do it while returning to the spotlight AGAIN. Most of his adult life has been in the spotlight.....has been ABOUT the spotlight.

If his Twitter reaction to Trump's victory is any indication.....he clearly has not changed much.

If the unlikely were to happen and Hogan really was truly sorry for his a$$hole ways and wanted to change, he would try to change OUT of the spotlight. He would retire Hulk Hogan for good, and finish off his life focusing on Terry Bollea and trying to make him a better person

All his life he has been telling Hulk tales and doing the gimmick outside the ring simply to promote himself and get more money. And to a certain point I can understand why he keeps doing it; look how far it's gotten him in life. But he's old now, his legacy is cemented, and he is closer to death. He needs to be on his Ebenezer Scrooge shyt and start changing himself before he dies an a$$hole.....a rich successful a$$hole perhaps, but still an a$$hole

As someone who used to stan him as an ignorant kid, I still want the Hulk Hogan story to have a good ending after he passes.....one of legitimate redemption. But that's up to him......

c00nker T.

Yeah I dont see the need to bring him back in person or make merch again, rather than just reacknowledge him as a part of history and the network and be on shows to give historicial interviews and thats it. Like you can lift the silly ban on his history and talk about him.

But I can also see WWE shamlessly try and bring him back so they can take credit for rehabbing his image and getting him involved in some PR laced progressive conversations and made up summits about race and then try and take credit for somehow being a progressive company for doing so.

Its the type of textbook shyt Stephanie McMahon would do to build the corporate image. This is the same woman who thought tweeting an article about why being charitable is good business would be a good idea.

Yeah I mentioned this a few weeks back but it seems he's gotten more low-key vocal on right leaning stuff since the tapes happened and whats funny is he tried a few years ago to be a pro Obama/pro LGBT slight left leaning guy to obviously appeal to a younger audience. I Just think he ran to the people who still believed in him and who happen to be dudes who are alt right and trump supporters like Peter Thiel who bankrolled his gawker case and he knows no better and doesn't go to any other PR Management to see its worse, so it looks way worse.

Dude even had a "What about All lives matter brother?" tweet early back in 2015 a couple of months after he was fired when someone asked him why he didnt donate to BLM to prove he's not a racist... which is just :pachaha: when you think how early he got on that.

He can be a easily swayed cat either way. He's not smart like that

Two sides to every story...

Do I want Hogan to come back in some blaze of glory and act like nothing happened... no

Do I want his complete wrestling history to be erased because of this... No

Logic is going to dictate that a man his age probably doesn't want his daughter having sex with a black man. Logic is going to dictate that people who grew up in that time are MORE bigoted than the average person today. But I don't believe that Hogan is a secret klan member hell bent on the extermination of black people.

As far as Booker T goes... Dude has a personal relationship with someone spanning decades. They've made money together, worked together, probably shed blood and tears together. Who are we to tell another man who he has the right to forgive? :yeshrug:

Unfortunately, these "celebrities" are so disconnected from reality that they only know how to self preserve and not be real. If Hogan had said "you know what... I really fukked up, I said something out of pure ignorance and it was a travesty. I want to apologize to everyone etc." then it might be easier to move on. There's no way to wash away things forever but he handled things the complete wrong way.

Yeah when they bring him back it's definitely going to be personal rather than business.

Was gonna make a thread but Booker on Brock and complainers over part timers
During a recent edition of Heated Conversations with Booker T, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T shared his thoughts on Brock Lesnar’s recent punishment by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his recent failed drug test for his UFC 200 bout against Mark Hunt. Lesnar was recently handed down a punishment of a one-year suspension, a fine of $250,000, and his win over Mark Hunt was overturned. Below are some highlights (transcript via WrestlingInc.com).

Booker T’s thoughts on Brock Lesnar’s punishment for failing a drug test: “Well, I’ll tell you, me personally, being an athlete, I’m always going to go out and represent. I’m going to go out there and fight fair and square. Now, Brock went out [and] he did something wrong, right? In the fight game, if you do something wrong, you should get punished for it. Am I right or wrong? $250,000, a year suspension, and what else? And they took the win away from [the] Mark Hunt [fight]. Okay. This is the way I look at it, right here. Brock Lesnar made $2.5 million minus $250,000, that’s $2.25 [million], and a vacation for a year. He probably wasn’t coming back [to UFC] for a year anyway. Do you know what I mean? And to take away my win from Mark Hunt, I’d take that. Do you know what I’m saying? Do you know what I mean? If I did something wrong, yeah, alright, I’ll take that. ‘Do you know what? Hold the check and just take out what you guys [want] and just give me the rest of it. Do you know what I mean? That’s cool.'”

Booker T on how Lesnar should’ve been punished: “Well, I think if anything a portion [of Lesnar’s pursue] should have [gone to Hunt]. A portion of it should have gone to Mark Hunt, perhaps $500,000 just to square everything up, just make everybody happy, but for Brock to still walk away with $2.25 [million] after something like that, some of the guys in that locker room that [have] been fighting for many, many years, they’ve got to be pretty upset by it. But the one thing I’ve always said is they can be upset all they want. Brock Lesnar’s a draw. People talk about when The Rock comes back for WrestleMania, all the young guys in the locker room are going to be upset. And I always say, ‘when you guys in the locker room can start selling out WrestleMania, then you can start talking. Until then, keep your mouth shut! You’re going to get a check at the end of the day!'”
