Above the fray.
Modern American public knows Hitler more for the holocaust than for the power grab moves he made to take over Germany.
The hundreds of films, series, books, etc released in America over the years highlighted the former, and the latter ended up being obscured.

In the words of the Philly D.A., that guy from Scranton is gonna" F around and Find out" soon enough.

-I saw some video disputing the idea the country's going to the right. The basis is the left is still left & if they didn't sit out they would've voted to the left. The only difference is they refuse to go far left & the country didn't shift at all, it's just a good line to parrot.

Yeah, Trump’s a Hitlerian fascist but why didn’t the Democrats put together a programmatic agenda to woo voters?

Did they campaign on universal healthcare? ❌

Did Kamala focus her campaign repealing qualified immunity for abusive police officers? ❌

A nationwide public works program? ❌

$15-an-hour federal minimum wage? ❌

Reparations?❌

An arms embargo for Israel? ❌

Even a stimmy? ❌

You can’t beat fascists by promising tax relief for small businesses. Learn from the history of Germany and Italy…

Wanted more $ in his pocket and an end to the Ukraine conflict. Sounds reasonable to me but let's make this controversial somehow.
You people are laughably dishonest. This need to make excuse for people like this is verging on pathological.

I can't speak on what they did in Philly, but I can speak on what happened in Michigan, where people have expressed similar contradictory stances.

In Michigan, her campaign ran ads that touted stronger labor protections and support for unions, lowering taxes on the middle-class, home-ownership initiatives, building more homes, paid family and medical leave and child-care funding...

This is what they are choosing after all the good work that was done in our state

You’re doing this thing that liberals do when they refer to “policy” in the abstract.

If it wasn’t clear, the Democrats didn’t offer much to change the material conditions of Americans.

When you have 2 ostensibly neoliberal parties, the party that’s seemingly offering solutions will win. Even if led by a fascist.
You're doing this thing where you call people liberals as if that is the catch-all for someone who argues in favor of a Democratic candidates platform.

Expand the child tax credit to $6,000 for families with newborns
Ban corporate price gouging on food and groceries
Expand the child tax credit to $6,000 for families with newborns

Provide first-time homebuyers with up to $25,000 for down payments, plus more generous support for first-generation homeowners
Build 3 million more rental units and affordable homes
Outlaw new forms of price fixing by corporate landlords
Extend the $35 cap on insulin and $2,000 cap on out-of-pocket spending to all Americans
Have Medicare cover in-home health care
Raise the minimum wage
Establish paid family and medical leave
End sub-minimum wages for tipped workers and people with disabilities
End four-year college degree requirements for federal jobs where appropriate
Limit businesses from "unnecessarily" using criminal arrest histories, convictions, and credit scores in employment decisions

Expand the startup expense tax deduction for new businesses from $5,000 to $50,000
Increase the share of federal contract dollars going to small businesses
Provide 1 million loans to Black entrepreneurs, fully forgivable up to $20,000
Legalize recreational marijuana
If all of the above is not considered material changes that would positively affect Americans, then the opposition must be offering something incredible.
What did Trump offer that was even close to this? And this isn't even the entirety of Harris/Walz platform. Please, don't hesitate to answer.

Is this the only issue on MI? I doubt it, maybe it was something else or a mix of a lot of variables.
He was talking about his personality/mentality not that he's an actual dictator. The branches of government are still in tact last I checked.

If only you knew… if the only Americans I knew were in TLR, I’d say your country was doomed!
:mjlol:

I don’t like Sanders’ politics. He’s a millionaire Zionist and doesn’t support reparations. So no.

Shows how much you know about Bernie!

Two adjustments: $15 was too little in 2016 when Bernie proposed it. If she had done tied to inflation that’s both a seismic substantive change and it blunts the duh inflation rhetoric as inflation is mentioned in the policy

Also reparations is too sticky a topic in this era. Trump would have pilloried her for it. It’s unfortunate but true. I believe in reparations but universal programs like healthcare for all, min wage, free education, national jobs program, housing reform etc has the affect of helping black people while not being politically toxic.

Keyword basically. And even though you don't like him in general you do like a good bit of his policies. Kinda shows how fickle people like you can be. Nevertheless your fantasy pick of a Bernie Sanders like candidate with a reparations platform would have done just great in a general election. You should run a campaign.

See how many of Trump's promises come true.

Of course you can just say whatever to get ahead, but I do believe that truth has a place.

We don't even have to bring up Trump. Just analyze the economy objectively from here on out and it will tell the tale. The electorate is short-sighted and there will be millions of people on January 20th who will proclaim that the economy is better. By May, they will say their lives are better.

Trump will have done nothing yet but they just feel better. Recognizing the electorate is quite stupid is half of the battle from here on out, while the other is courting them and people who actually pay attention to politics and "how things work." The latter is a very, very small percentage of Americans.
