A wrestler (amateur) is beating a boxer almost every time. That doesn't even factor in Brock probably having like 100 pounds on him lol

See now you dudes going crazy w the takes :mjlol: nikkas done put hands on brock in the ufc and they have terrible boxing in mma(given they have to be aware of leg kicks and takedowns) but yeah.

Boxing and wrestling have very similar footwork as well so unless you have a guy who is super explosive on some jordan burroughs shyt wrestlers have to be arm on shoulder of the opp range to get the takedown aka within punching range.

Ain't no x is beating y every time that's fairy tale shyt. :camby:

An MMA fighter is trained in avoiding Takedowns, a boxer is not. If takedowns are a go then yes, the wrestler is crushing the boxer every time if they can't avoid the takedown

it would look like this but 50x worse considering its Brock

:gucci: An MMA fight between two MMA fighters is a MUCH different scenario than a strictly boxer going up against a wrestler. Just about every time, a great wrestler is going to beat a great boxer in a fight. Especially one with the size advantage of Brock. Within seconds, your ass is going to be on the ground at the wrestler's mercy.

There are no absolutes in combat. X beats Y everytime works in fairy tales.

My son placed at states in wrestling and trains boxing/MT w me. Ill let you take a guess on what he using in a fight.

That boxers arent prepared for takedowns is bs that mma coaches spit to justify taxing these mma cacs. Boxers are prepared for movement and you have to be closer to land a takedown than you do a punch. Im not here to change your mind tho its all good. :salute:

Im pushing no narrative i replied to a post saying "a wrestler will beat a boxer every time."

I said there are no absolutes and gave an example of a situatiom where a boxer could have the upper hand. Way too many variables involved but go ahead and school me on combat sports breh im taking notes. :mjlol:

I would bet my life ive seen more folkstyle/freestle/greco wrestling than everyone in this thread.

I never said it was an absolute. In both posts I either said "almost" or "just about" every time. The wrestler has the advantage in most cases. And in the scenario we're discussing (Brock/Mero), it's as close to an absolute as it gets.

the 3rd post in this thread

He knew its weight classes for a reason and this was roided out of his mind prime Brock. Brock aint some regular dude giving up all that weight against a ncaa champ :merchant:

:gucci: Uh...yeah. That's a stark difference if you wanna talk "absolutes". "Every time" = Absolute. "Almost every time" = not an Absolute. Should I get you a dictionary?

:mjlol: I don't even get what point you're trying to make. A boxer doesn't literally lose to a wrestler every time? Ok, great?... I guess. The wrestler has the advantage the vast majority of the time and this is nearly universally agreed upon.
