help with buying a laptop

so what would be the AMD equivalent of the i5? Does the SSD make "that" much of a difference? I want my laptop to fly and that downloading of memory does not work :what: I downloaded like 16gb and my computer was still slow :ohhh::sadcam::shaq:

the A10 is AMD's newest quad core. Joint is a beast. The A8 is a lil older but still pretty dope.

last month i went to best buy and bought a HP 15" laptop for $350. no where near the best or even consider that good but all i do is listen to music and surf the internet and its been great so far

Are you crazy? An Ultrabook is a FANTASTIC option. Yes it is a little more expensive than the base laptops, but they offer a TON of feautures in a very tiny formfactor. I own the Yoga 13 Lenovo laptop and love it to death. If you can afford them, i say go for it.

My laptop has an i7, 256 ssd, 4gig ram, touchscreen, windows 8, usb 3.0, weighs 2.5lbs, 8 hours of battery life, and is overall a fantastic piece of kit.

I'm actually going to sell my Surface RT now because I no longer need it.
