Your going to need to take the laptop apart. Most laptops will have the keys come off as a whole. Once they are off clean them good, top and bottom. While the keyboard is off delicately clean the rubber pieces that the keyboard rest on. OJ is very sticky. Good luck.

I have taken apart laptops, but the screws are hidden on here and I can't figure out what to remove to get the keyboard out.

ah my bad I'm thinking she spilled her cup, but she knocked over your glass... part of being daddy breh.

I always take stuff like this to local computer fixers I suck at taking electronics apart and repairing stuff. If its typing at all it should be salvagable but prolly never be %100 right again. Just get it to where its decent and stick it on craigslist

Try doing a Google search if you haven't. They might have a guide online you can use to take it apart.

Well, good luck with that. Got to keep the children away from the electronics. My daughter waste some powerade on my phone. It was doing the exact same thing that your computer was doing. Even when it dried up, it was still sticky. I ended up getting my current phone a couple of days later.

Man I got the keyboard out. shyt wa simple actually but sticky as all hell. So I cleaned the oj up on the back of the keyboard and on the laptop where it co era the motherboard. However since the keys cant really be removed they still sticky. I think imma wash they keyboard in the sink since its all plastic and removed from my laptop. Then I'll dry it and re connect it and see if that works. If its shot, imma just order a new keyboard since they're fairly cheap.

I just took the keyboard out and thoroughly rinsed it in hot ass water. No keys are stuck now. I got it under my desk with the space heater blowing hot air on it to dry. Hopefully it's fixed now once is dry.

Everything else is working fine now. Just gotta test the keyboard in a couple hours.

I think my daughter just got saved from a beating :lawd:

Yea that was going to be my next suggestion. :russ: Kids cant be trusted to own or be near electronics that men care about.

The good news is my laptop works. The bad news is my keyboard is shot. I ordered a new OEM one off eBay for $30 and hopefully that'll do the trick. In the meanwhile I'm stuck between either using my desktop, iPad, or netbook. I guess it's not that bad. I just needed to get access to the files on the laptop.

Oh and fukk HP for tryin to hit me up for $91 for a keyboard.
