meanwhile im trying to get my damn xp computer to boot up past the logo screen with rebooting itself...the downfalls of installing from a bootleg xp cd...they don't have the repair console for me to run on it to try to fix installation when shyt like that happens

Motherboard -$100
i3 - $105
HDD- $80 (depends on the amount of porn tbh)
case- $60
RAM- $25
windows 7- $100 (though he can probably use linux mint/ubuntu for what he is doing)
psu- $40 -should not need more 400 watts for what your doing (can probably go 500 to be safe)

He can probably get a much cheaper AMD processor and motherboard which will cut this price down even more.
