Should I go ahead and cop this? Is it a good price? I like that it's ATX Full Tower or w/e. I'd like to have room to work with since I haven't built a computer from scratch before and the PSU isn't modular.

Its a pretty good price for a high end case. The newegg edition is $105 after MIR

ok, copped. do you have any suggestions on BD players/burners? the reviews on newegg.com say they either suck or they don't come with bluray software so you gotta buy it. obviously i ain't buying any software :smugfavre: but should i just get one that has good reviews and figure out how to get software afterwards?

as far as hard drives... i'll go the small SSD for my OS + large HDD route. do you have a preferred brand or any other suggestions?

Crucial M4 128 GB SSD. Thank me later. Do know that they go as low as $100 at times so don't overpay.

I'll thank you now but do I need one with so much space? I'll only be putting my OS on it, it seems like overkill for that purpose.

I'd go with 128 breh. Will last you quite some time and resale value will be better in the long run if you ever decide to sell it. I have a somewhat fresh install of Windows 7 on my 128 GB and I only have 66.5 GB free. Mind you all I have installed is Windows 7 Ultimate & Office.

How much space does Windows 7 take up? And does it make much difference (in terms of space) whether you install 32-bit or 64-bit? And does it make a big difference which edition?

I got a 64GB SSD but right now I just run Ubuntu. I still have like 47GB free. I thought there was room for me to install Windows 7 later on... :noah:

Windows might just take up more HDD space depending on how big your drive is. I personally have Windows restore and a bunch of other shyt Windows reserves space for off. My windows folder is taking 23 GB by itself so you should be good. If windows restore and shyt like that is important to you space may get tight.

I believe the 64 bit version takes about 4 gigs more than the 32.

my CPU ain't cleanly going into my motherboard, breh... :(

they're both AM3 so that's straight, but the bottom right hand corner is slightly higher than the other corners. should it be cool? seems like the pins should be flush all the way. damn it.
