So a friend of mine Stateside is seriously contemplating opening up a MicroGym / Fitness facility in his area (Aiming for January 2014). We got talking about the idea & he asked for my help in trying to get this project off the ground. From a digital perspective it makes total sense to get some collective data accumulated prior to making any rash moves........So right about now I'm trying to compile some market data for him about the average gym attendee & I would really really appreciate it if you guys would'nt mind filling out this two part survey for me real quick (probably take you 5 minutes tops to complete)

PART 1

PART 2

<--- as you can tell I'm not some randomer trolling The Coli...for people to take my survey! We're trying to figure out what's really important gym-goers at this point... so our final decision will depend a lot on the survey feedback.

P.s: Also any chance you guys can Sticky this thread for me for a couple of days or so?

If you open a gym. Let me know. We have developed a local business software that manages business locations in place like Yelp, Bing, YP and 40+ other local business directories we grow it by 3-5 sites per month. We sell it for 450$ and 59$ per month. Since you a coli breh I will hook you up with it for free all you gotta do is put powered by "company name" on website.

Shoot me a pm I will get you set up if you open the business.

You also have spelling error on first quiz question 6.

Damn much appreciated on the proposed gesture of kindness! Also props for spotting that typo which is now fixed! Will most definitely shoot you a PM once this venture gets the green light (currently my mate is in negotiations with the landlords for a couple of units he is interested in).

Anyways much appreciated to anyone & everyone who took time out to give me some honest feedback on the matter at hand :salute:

Just finished both surveys. Good luck. If u do open the gym, gives us some feedback on how the business is going. I was thinking about opening something similar around my area.

Not me breh! Its my friend who's whole heartedly set out on this crazy venture ( salute him for finally trying to do it) ! I'm merely helping him out with the collective feedback aspect in the grand scheme of things..so yea speaking to him further on the matter (gave him all survey results by the way thanks for those brehs) he told me that the aim is to open a privately owned (leased initially ) micro-gym no bigger than 3000-4000 s.f...with mostly group oriented fitness schedule & a small weights & cardio area!

To answer your question I think Client wise he is primarily looking to attract the working class demographic type I.e. people who workout during their lunchtimes or straight after work per se! Basically he wants to operate a gym with ongoing classes (multiple fitness program's & most of them outsourced to private PT's coming to teach at various intervals) throughout the day that also serves food as in incorporate a Juice-style bar where you can get an assortment of fresh juice & shakes, coupled with hot food available as well (his Sister is a health cook chef type) ......so a hypothetical client would for e.g get off from work or school, hop into a group class for an hour or,so, grab a healthy, hot sandwich with a protein shake...& go about their day from there on. So if this drink & meal concept were somehow to be included in the package price I believe this option would appeal more to the client type who prefer to do quick workouts in the AM or during their Lunch breaks etc (however doing inclusive meal & membership bundles could get messy so this idea is in hold for now, I told him to do rare research on this):yeshrug:

So to sum it up...

1. Exercise
2. Shower
3. Eat
4. Leave

He got this whole eatery idea from these eccentric movie theatres, Apparently some offer more benefits that other, chain run-of-the-mill movie theatres don't. So he thinks he you could apply the same concept to a gymnasium.....pay a set monthly fee, hop into a class as needed, have a meal & drink paid for under your membership
that'd be fairly different from most places like say LA Fitness that just have machines available, no one to motivate you, & nothing but maybe some dry protein bars to munch on at checkout....:lupe:
