Dolph Lundgren recently threw his hat in the ring to play the mutant time-traveler in Deadpool 2 and now Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) has followed suit with a couple of Facebook posts...

Following Dolph Lundgren's campaign to play Cable in Tim Miller's Deadpool sequel, the ever-awesome Ron Perlman has decided to get in on the action.

The Hellboy actor posted the following images and captions to his Facebook page.

"Even my fave artist got into the fray... #ShaineSchroeder"

Or hair. I'm the only one with Cable's friggin HAIR!"

The hair game is indeed on point, sir. Of course these days there are many actors actively campaigning to play characters they believe they'd be good fits for, but Perlman is a fan-favorite actor that many have mentioned as their pick for the role of Cable in the past.

Personally, I think he'd be a great choice, but what about you guys?

I think him and Reynolds would have good chemistry, and if it lays the groundwork for the X-Force movie

If he decides to blame the post-apocalyptic future on The Niners and The Mayans though
