I was saying the same thing in the car this morning if buddy from Instagram don't have a lawyer licking his chops, he's foolish...

Why?

If he presses charges, they'll be criminal charges, not civil ones....and dude can't get no money from criminal charges.

Further....not so sure T.I. can't get outta this one.

For one, under Georgia law he could only be charged with a simple assault, which is a misdemeanor.

For two, he arguably has a good affirmative defense with self-defense. An affirmative defense means that he doesn't dispute the facts of the case, but that he feels the reason he threatened dude with violence was valid and justifiable under the law.

Accordingly....if he argued that (a) his daughter is underage and, therefore (b) she felt threatened by dude's tweet (especially if dude is 18 or older), he might have a chance.

But I dunno how old the dude was or whatever, so....this is just the lawyer in me talking.
