In a dream world they would have just played that entire video, all 13 mins of it, during a Raw, no commercial breaks, nothing

Then shyt would have developed from there, all in the "faux friendly rivalry" ish but no physical contact

Culminating in a one off match where idgaf who won, the match would have been straight piff because the story was there, the legendary veteran who thinks he hasn't lost a step against the current "soft" generation versus the arrogant champ determined to put grampa in his place and show him he's not what he still thinks he is and the current generation can match up to the Attitude Era

The most dissapointing performance in Punk's career. I was shocked at how he reacted to Steve channeling 96' Stone GOAT, it was an unique opportunity and he half assed it. It was weird because it's the kind of thing Punk would excel at and he was so meh with an Austin that was game for creating something special

He came off respectable. Probably didn't wanna go too storyline since there wasn't no point (Austin not returning). Austin was on another but bigged up Punk still.
